We are extremely pleased to be able to present KHS culinary arts student Becca Grout with the Keon Ioannou Memorial Scholarship this year. This $500 scholarship will help fund Becca's continued education in the Lakes Region Community College Culinary Arts program. Becca has demonstrated ambition, focus, a love for the culinary arts, and has overcome many substantial challenges to even be considered for this scholarship. We are extremely happy to be able to help her on her way.

March, 2014 -

The Board of Directors are very happy that Peter Clark has reopened Tony Clamato's as Keon's Ristorante, and have read the article about the restaurant in the Keene Sentinel on March 31st, 2014. We feel that we should clarify that the Keon Ioannou Memorial Trust Fund and Keon's Ristorante are two wholly separate entities and have no financial or management relationship with each other.

January, 2014 -

To date, we have raised a total of $3,764.08 through direct contributions to the Fund account, through an online campaign, and through a benefit potluck and concert at the Italian Club on December 13th.

We cannot thank enough those who contributed financially, or in spirit. Your donations have made a very significant difference in a very rough time.

The Board of Directors of the Keon Memorial Fund have voted to disburse the majority of the funds raised as follows:

$1,000 to defray veterinary bills associated with the care of Keon's dogs Harley and Phenway. (Note, this was only a portion of the actual bills)

$2,000 paid to Fletcher Funeral Home to defray the costs associated with the funeral and burial. (Again, this addressed only a portion of the actual bills)

These funds have been disbursed.

This leaves $764.08 in the fund account. For the time being we are going to work on a scholarship for a graduating KHS student studying culinary arts, or similar endeavor, and will leave this money in the account until then.

Again, we cannot thank you enough for your help.
